DrA24

Our story

Why a team from Mérida set out to build this.

A street in Mérida in the mid-afternoon: a popsicle vendor serves a man in a hat next to his cart, under the trees and among parked bicycles.

We start in Mérida, but we take medical care everywhere

Those of us behind DrA24 share the same scene, each in our own moment: a sick child, a relative or ourselves, 11 p.m., rain outside, and the only option is to go out looking for an open clinic. You arrive at a waiting room full of people just as sick, waiting for the same turn. When the visit and the prescription are finally done, the second battle begins: the pharmacy doesn't have even half the treatment. You have to run to another. And another.

When we first shared this among ourselves, it wasn't a surprise, it was recognition. Each of us thought our rainy night had been a personal anecdote. It turned out to be a pattern. Rodrigo and Luis, who joined as advisors while the idea took shape, told their own version of the same night without anyone asking.

We didn't stop at the anecdote. We went out to interview real people and real doctors, without selling them anything. And what they said, without our asking directly, matched: the travel and the wait hurt every day, pharmacy clinics close right when people can go, and almost nobody finds the full prescription in one place at a fair price.

That's why we didn't build another video-visit app. We built something that closes the full loop: symptom, visit, medication. Our technology organizes your case in seconds so the doctor arrives with all the context, a licensed doctor always decides, and the prescription connects directly with real pharmacy availability. So that no one else has to run between three stores at three in the morning with a sick child in their arms.
